Vikas Gattani is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Progress India Opportunities Fund (PIOF).

Vikas has over 28 years of investment experience in Asian financial markets. Prior to establishing Progress Asia Capital, he worked at JP Morgan in Hong Kong where he was the Chief Investment Officer of its internal hedge fund unit – Asia Capital Management. Previously, he worked at Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong as Head of Proprietary Trading for Asia and at UOB Asset Management in Singapore as portfolio manager, and in Project Finance with ICICI in Mumbai.

An astute asset manager, Vikas has navigated investment portfolios through several global and regional market cycles making him adept at managing volatility. Based on his solid experience, Vikas has developed robust and time-tested investment and research process which helps in taking sound investment decisions. During his career, he has successfully managed strong, cohesive investment teams of talented professionals. Vikas possesses a unique combination of understanding macro conditions influencing markets, assessing of promoter/management quality and deep understanding of company and business knowledge across variety of sectors.

Vikas is a frequent speaker at investment seminars and conferences. He is also a guest lecturer at Centre of Asset Management, Research and Investments(CAMRI), NUS Business School.

He is also involved in Philanthropy and associated with some foundations in India.

Vikas has a MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, and a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai.
